Looks like 2012 is the year of sequels !
We already got confirmation that Full House 2 is in the work with No Min Woo and Hwang Jung Eum take the lead and scheduled to air early 2012.
Couple days ago, we got the news that singer, performer, actor and producer Park Jin Young confirmed that he is starting to produceDream High 2 and also scheduled to debut with KBS early 2012. Park Jin Young’s company, JYP , joined with Keyeast produced the firstDream High early this year and the drama was a hit, sent Kim Soo Hyun’s name into fame.
Today, we heard news that the PD of Korean famous drama Dae Jang Geum, PD Lee Byung Hoon , will be back next year after he finishedDong Yi 2 years ago. The news sparks rumor that he returns to make the sequel of his famous drama Dae Jang Geum.
Rumor has it that MBC who aired Dae Jang Geum in 2003 wanted to make the sequel back in 2009 but the circumstance such as actress Lee Young Ae didn’t want to star for the sequel and many more reason halted the idea.

But MBC official said that although MBC wants to make Dae Jang Geum 2, there are many thing to be considered and quite impossible to happen, so PD Lee Byung Hoon’s next drama might not even have anything to do with Dae Jang Geum.

We loved Dae Jang Geum, it’s a great drama. But we’ve done with that type of story after Dong Yi. It’s annoying to see a woman with all the coincidences solves many problems alone.
