As the result of the successful KBS musical drama Dream High which ended couple months ago, there’s talk for a season 2.
The first installment of Dream High which was produced by the consortium of KEYEAST (of Bae Yong Joon) and JYP (of Park Jin Young) had raised Kim Soo Hyun to stardom and proved that idol singers such as Suzy (of Miss A), IU and Taecyeon are good actors too. So, there’s been many requests for season 2 and responded positively by Holrim production company.

Holrim staff said that they are now preparing the script , and will start casting immediately after the script is finished. They plan to air January 2012 as they already got confirmation to broadcast in KBS.
The interesting stuff is that they still have not decided whether the season 2 will be an extension of season 1 or a whole full new story. They still considering which one is better.

Oh, we loved Dream High season 1 but we don’t think there would be exciting story again between the main casts. Sam Dong already a superstar and other casts grown up and done.

‘Dream High 2′ held first script reading, ready for full swing shooting
The first script reading of musical drama Dream High 2 was held on December 17 in Gangnam , Seoul.
In the friendly atmosphere, the casts worked together to synchronize their chemistry.
Main characters, 2AM’s Jin Woon, Sistar’s Hyorin, T-ara Ji Yeon and Kang So Ra were there, with supporting casts Kim Jung Tae, Park Jin Young, Choi Yeo Jin, Kwon Hae Hyo.
In the friendly atmosphere, the casts worked together to synchronize their chemistry.

Beside the above names, Dream High 2 last week added Yoo So Young , former member of Kpop group After School, into the cast. That means she will meet her former band-mate Kahi who also joinedDream High 2 as the teacher in Kirin’s school.
Yoo So Young will play role of Park Sun Dong, the craziest student in Kirin. She insists that she has the ability of fortune-telling through ghost’s voice. She also gives Hye Sung (Kang So Ra’s character) lot of troubles.
With those characters, Park Sun Dong’s role is expected to bring dynamic, vitality and spicy for the drama.
Besides Yoo So Young, Dream High 2 also added Kim Ji Soo (from talent show Superstar K) into the cast.
This’s the first time ever for Kim Ji Su to act in a drama, he will play role of Park Hong Joo, a boy who has everything except good looking. He has comic face but superior singing ability.
With so many popular idol names in the cast, Dream High 2 is expected to be successful just like the first installment. So, will they or won’t they ?
Time will tell when Dream High 2 debuts in KBS2 January 30, 2012.
